Barney & Friends is a children's television show produced in the United States, mainly aimed at preschoolers, starring a large purple dinosaur named Barney.

Origin and development of show

Barney, by owning his purple immune system complete by owning the green stomach & yellow toenails, was created around 1987 by Sheryl Leach of Dallas, Texas.
